Message from Tetsuya Ichikawa

When I was a child, I fished for goby with an angleworm under a float at the river flowing next to the house. After 15 minutes went down the river by bicycle,
there's the ocean which horse mackerel was able to catch.
Then my friend at school told me that the big fish called "sea bass" live there and fish on a lure.
When I took a boat to the ocean and threw a lure, a Dorado exploded on the surface. Moreover my friend told me that black bass was able to catch
using a lure at a pond and a lake which takes for about 1 hour by car. I went bass fishing frequently by bicycle, by bus and by train sometimes a parent just took me to
and from the lake by car until I got a car license. The bass fishing was fun.
Even if not catch any, it was fun. I was thinking about fishing every time.
After I get a car license, I ran after bass and also appeared on tournaments a lot throughout Japan.
Because of lure fishing, my world became wide-open. I turned my feeling of " I'd like to see the world over the ocean" to "
I'd like to fish in the world where I haven't seen yet" and it became reality.
I crossed the ocean only with fishing equipment. To North America, Asia and Europe.
I spend my life together with fishing. It was able to meet many people and values through fishing.
That's the most important mental pabulum of my life.
I still have many countries to go and fish species to fish. A journey continues. Fishing is the tool which connects with people for me. At the same time,
a fishing hook is the tool which connects fish and an angler.
Hook's shape is keep existing from the ancient times. To create better hooks, how the latest technology and fisherman's idea put into the traditional
shape. Try and error every day at the factory with history in more than 75 years.
